Occupational Therapist | Certified Hand Therapist
Melissa Ryan is a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist with a specialization in orthopedics and hand therapy. She graduated with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) from Stony Brook University in 2018 and achieved her Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification in 2022, a designation that reflects her advanced expertise in upper extremity rehabilitation.
With a passion for restoring function and enhancing quality of life, Melissa works with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries. Her primary focus is on helping individuals regain strength, mobility, and independence in their daily activities, with particular attention to the hands, wrists, and arms. She additionally specializes in custom orthosis fabrication. She is committed to providing comprehensive care that helps her patients return to work, sports, and recreational activities with improved function and minimal pain.
Outside of work, Melissa can be found spending time with her husband and son at the beach in the summer and skiing in the winter. She remains passionate about empowering those around her, including her patients to live life to the fullest.
