Clinical Assistant - Float
Full-time Orthopaedic
Duties
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with intake procedures and documenting patient information in EHR systems
- Rooming patients, addressing phone messages/tasks and scheduling appointments
- Assist in various clinical procedures and examinations
- Preparing exam rooms and managing clinical supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment
- Removing bandages, splints, sutures, staples and casts
- Fitting patients properly with any immobilization devices dispensed in the office
- Assisting with any in office procedures while maintaining sterile technique
- Adhering to OSHA and infection control standards to ensure patient and staff safety
- Assisting patients with any testing, imaging or surgery ordered by the physician
Requirements
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Previous experience in a clinical setting such as hospital, urgent care, or outpatient clinics is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) is essential.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient patient documentation
- Ability to perform patient intake processes effectively while ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members professionally.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to different providers and locations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 – $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

OrthoNJ, LLC is required by New Jersey law to include the salary range for this role. The hiring range for this role is $19.00 – $24.00 per hour. The range for this role is typically determined by several factors, including the geography in which the selected candidate will be working, and alignment with qualifications and experience. Certain roles may also be eligible for additional compensation (bonus, etc) and/or benefits. In addition, full-time employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, vison and retirement plan.
