About Nicholas A. Jarmon, MD

Dr. Jarmon was born and raised in Monmouth County and is a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft. He attended Georgetown University where he majored in Biology. After graduating college he earned his doctorate of medicine from New Jersey Medical School in Newark, and he remained in Newark for his orthopaedic residency training.

While in residency Dr. Jarmon completed a number of research projects which he presented at national and regional meetings on topics including orthopaedic trauma and infections, as well as shoulder reconstruction.

After residency, he completed a fellowship in shoulder reconstruction at the world-famous Johns Hopkins Medical Center, ranked the number one hospital in America for twenty-one consecutive years by U.S. News and World Report. During his time at Johns Hopkins, he participated in a number of clinical research projects which explored various treatment options for shoulder arthritis.

Dr. Jarmon also served as team physician for the Baltimore Orioles for two seasons!

Dr. Jarmon is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon. He possesses expertise in procedures of the shoulder, as well as advanced training and experience in shoulder replacement, including both the traditional total shoulder replacement as well as the reverse total shoulder replacement.

Dr. Jarmon believes in meeting the patients’ individual needs through a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan designed to help them achieve an active, pain-free lifestyle. Dr. Jarmon encourages his patients to explore all options before recommending surgery as many orthopaedic conditions can be treated without surgery.

Dr. Jarmon has a large extended family with deep ties to the Jersey Shore. When he is not at work he enjoys golf, tennis, the beach, and spending time with his family, especially his beautiful wife and daughters.
