Dr. Salvatore J. Sclafani is a fellowship-trained sports medicine orthopedic surgeon. He earned his undergraduate degree from Drew University, followed by his medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Middletown, New York. During his time in medical school, Dr. Sclafani was initiated into the Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society and graduated with magna cum laude honors.

More About Salvatore J. Sclafani, DO

After graduating from medical school, Dr. Sclafani completed his orthopedic surgery residency training at Northwell Health in Long Island, New York. To further his orthopedic surgery training, Dr. Sclafani completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Ochsner Andrews Sports Medicine Institute in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a part of the program, he developed skills in state-of-the-art techniques for open and arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery. Dr. Sclafani also worked as an assistant team physician for the New Orleans Saints NFL team and New Orleans Pelicans NBA team.
Dr. Sclafani has a passion for helping people of all ages return to the activities they love. He enjoys educating his patients on their injury/condition, discussing the various treatment options, and developing an individualized treatment plan for each patient.
